Times of the school day

Our School Day starts at 9am and ends at 3.30pm for all pupils. So, in a typical week, our pupils are in school for 32.5 hours.

Children are expected to arrive from 0845 and in time for us to start the school day promptly at 0900.  A member of our friendly staff team is always at the front gate of the school to welcome children into the site (and so parents to pass on any quick information or messages).

At the end of the school day, staff see children out individually through the front gate to the trusted adult collecting them.

Breaks and Lunch time

There is a morning break for all pupils. Our lunch time is from 12 noon. Our children all eat together then play outside. Lunchtime ends in time for lessons to begin again at 1.15pm.

Children are asked to bring a water bottle to school each day to keep them hydrated. Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with a piece of fruit to eat each day, but all pupils are welcome to bring a healthy snack from home to enjoy at morning breaktime. Most of our pupils have a school lunch, which is cooked on the premises by our school cook. A few children choose to bring a packed lunch from home on some days. Our school cook is very experienced and can cater for any specific food allergies or special diets if needed.

Wrap Around Child care (08:00 – 18:00)

We have a Before School Breakfast Club which runs from 08:00 until the start of the school day Monday to Friday.

We also have an After School Club which currently runs until 6pm Monday – Thursday each week. Details about these clubs, booking and costings can be found on the ‘Club’ section on the Left Hand drop down menu.
