OUR SCHOOL

Care, guidance and support is at the heart of what Nun Monkton School provides for all children throughout their learning journey here. I am extremely proud of what the children achieve at this very happy school, with such a committed, caring and skilful staff team.

All staff have an excellent rapport with the children and encourage each child to do their best. We recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of each child, guiding and helping them on their learning journey through the school. The nurturing and positive culture of our school enables children to develop self-belief and resilience – and to achieve the very best standards that they can.

Pupils here are enticed by the fun and joy of what is on offer, so they want to learn and engage in activities. Children don’t want to miss school – and with the high expectations, encouragement and personalised learning that we offer, they really do thrive. Progress in every year group is very evident and by the end of Year 6 pupils are all very well prepared, both academically and socially, for wherever life takes them beyond the age of 11. Our school aims and ethos are threaded through all we do, so children are well motivated, using their skills and talents to the full. At the end of each summer term we are delighted to see the well-rounded, self-motivated and confident pupils who are academically very well prepared to move on after their time at our school.

We understand that selecting a school for your child can be a daunting process and how important it is for parents/carers to have trust in the people who are educating and caring for their child each day. We hope you have a flavour of what our school has to offer and would be delighted to show you round. Please do contact us to ask more or to arrange a visit.
