Dragonfly Class

Welcome to Dragonfly Class

In the Dragonfly class, children are inquisitive, courageous and bold. They take risks and challenge themselves to excel and reach their full potential.

Dragonflies class has 16 children, Years 4 - 6. Therefore, we structure our days in a unique way. We have a main classroom and a large group room, which are used to create flexibility in the way we learn. This enhances children’s independence, as well as developing their resilience and creativity.

Autumn- Walk like an Egyptian

Spring- Out of this World

Summer- Festival Fever!

As part of our weekly timetable, we go to our local forest for our Forest School lessons. We get to build fires, cook snacks and use tools to create crafts. We are lucky to have these opportunities and enjoy learning to be creative thinkers who problem solve and risk take,

As part of our Autumn topic, 'Walk like and Egyptian', we have been using Modroc. We started off by designing our Modroc Egyptian death masks before embarking on using Modroc to modroc our hands. We did this so we could learn how to work with this medium. Next we embarked on modrocing our masks which was super tricky! We had to work quickly in order to keep it moist and wet.
