The Parents, Teachers and Friends of Nun Monkton

About us

The PTFA Nun Monkton is made up of parents, teachers and friends of our small and beautiful school. We work to raise funds for the school through fun and exciting events.

We are delighted to announce that the PTFA has been awarded registered charity status in 2020 (Registered Charity Number 1187490). This provides the organisation with tax relief, safeguards our assets, and opens up opportunities to seek new sources of funding.

We are hugely supportive of wonderful Nun Monkton Primary School. In the last few years we have had the privilege of donating money towards Forest School equipment, a new music system, and new tables and chairs. This is in addition to providing support for many school trips.

The PTFA puts on various events throughout the year, such as the ' St Peter's Feast’ which is a festival held on the Nun Monkton village green. This annual event is celebrated with traditional maypole dancing by the school children, fancy dress, food stalls, raffles, music, festival games and entertainment for all! In addition to festivities for Bonfire Night, and our Christmas disco, we have Easter bingo and the end of summer Barn Dance to look forward to.

We are always looking for new volunteers to get involved. If you would like to donate, offer feedback or participate, please contact us via email:
